The Incredible Everyday, September 2012 edition

About every three months, I put together a list of the things in life I'm loving (or in some cases just liking a whole lot) at the moment. It's about practicing thanksgiving, celebrating the big and small and enjoying the incredible every day.

The September Loves:

Steven Moffat for the brilliant start to the new Doctor Who season. "Dinosaurs...on a spaceship."

My niece potty training and then getting so excited the first time she poohed in the potty that she jumped up with excitement before she finished and poohed on the floor. and for inventive ways to raise funds for Hannah's adoption. (If you haven't checked it out yet, please do.)

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon for being incredibly inventive storytelling for literary geeks.

The first days of Autumn for being just around the corner.

The Nerdist podcast for being fantastically nerdy and giving me a glimpse at the nerdy side of some of my favorite actors, writers, directors, etcetera. (And yes, I know I'm way behind on discovering the Nerdist, but give me a break, I was in Africa!)

Writing the Live Simply Series for making me look in depth again at all the reasons why I believe in living simply.

My newish, iPhone for, well, just in general making life more convenient, but not for making me irritated with the ineffectiveness of the mousepad on my laptop. for making it so easy to set up and maintain the new website without having to be a code scholar.

My house for being spacious and small all at the same time and becoming a place where Hannah and I can make a home.

My parents for inviting me for dinner and allowing me to pop in whenever I want and just generally being good parents.

Bethany Christian Services and how wonderfully, amazingly supportive they've been through the adoption process so far.

All the brilliantly incredible people commenting and Facebooking and tweeting and encouraging me to keep writing.
